Pope Leo XIV in Uruguay, Argentina and Peru: Where to Stay, Stop by Stop
November 6–16, 2026
Pope Leo XIV makes his first trip back to South America as pope from November 6 to 16, 2026: ten cities in Uruguay, Argentina and Peru in eleven days, with nine public Masses. Peru is personal. Before his election he was bishop of Chiclayo, in the country's north, and he became a Peruvian citizen.
Hotels near the big events are filling fast. When we checked on October 12, several of the obvious choices were already sold out on Booking.com for the papal dates, and in Chiclayo only a handful of rooms were left in the whole city. Below is the schedule, stop by stop, with hotels that still had rooms. The booking buttons open with the papal dates filled in.
Times are local and come from the official Holy See schedule as reported in October 2026. They can change, so check again close to the date.
